CemFloor
Cemfloor has been developed by Cemexa Technologies – a key player of the European market and one of the active leaders of cement screed development. It consists of cement binder, fine aggregate, proprietary additive, high-range water reducer, and water and has been produced to comply fully with the current European standards.

Key benefits of a Cemfloor screed
- Thinner sections compared to traditional screeds. 25mm above underfloor heating pipes.
- Larger floor area without joints (up to 150m2).
- Exceptional thermal conductivity (up to9W/m.k).
- Reduced drying times (dependent on drying conditions or after suitable moisture test.)
-
- Non-heated tiles: 10 days
- Non-heated wooden floors: 28 days
- Heated tiled floor: 14 days
- Heated wooden floors – 24 days
- Can be polished for final floor finish
- All floor coverings can be applied with no need for surface sanding
- More thermal insulation can be used in floors, compared to traditional sand cement screed which leads to a better u value for your building
- Minimal drying shrinkage (<0.05%)
- It is safe to walk on the screed after 24 hours since installation
- Can be applied in wet areas
- Can be forced dried after 7 days
- Compatible with all cement based tile adhesive, no priming of surface required
- No surface laitance (dust) after curing
- Easy installation; up to 1000m2 per day, which helps to reduce costs
- Lower running costs for underfloor heating systems when using Cemfloor. This is due to the exceptional thermal conductivity of up to9W/mk and the ability to lay thinner screeds over the underfloor heating pipes.
Installing Cemfloor Screeds
Pre installation considerations
It’s important that your site is well-prepared for installation, which firstly means that the area should be cleared of anything which might contaminate the Cemfloor Screed: mud, dirt, water, construction debris. Secondly, it is also desirable for Cemfloor to be installed in a totally weather tight environment where the windows and doors are in place. However, if this isn’t possible all apertures should be well-covered with weather resistant polythene. Finally, a 5mm thick compressible border strip should be applied around walls and all upstands, columns, piers, and pipes where necessary, construction joints should also be used (maximum bay sizes of 150m2 can be placed without the need for construction joints.)

Installing Cemfloor
Once the screed is down, we will complete the levelling process using a dapple brush. We will pass over the screed in opposite directions, pressing the full depth of the brush into the screed. At the same time, we also apply a suitable curing agent – we recommend using XXXXXXXXX.
